Free food :P

While roaming around in the city, its very common here to see couples roaming around freely... no body kind of interferes in their personal life, I was feeling very bad about our Indian culture... Once you see a boy n girl together it becomes a big issue itself... and by chance you see them holding hands, Oh my god! what a drama it would be.. unimaginable.. :P
Was feeling very bad about this thing...
Then happened something just the reverse and had such a great influence on me that I salute India yet again... n most importantly Indian culture.. :-)

So the incident goes like this..
Yesterday I was in the kitchen of my apartment, and there was one of my neighbors doing some strange painting kind of stuff.. I asked him.. "Hey what are you doing man?? :O
He replied 'Well, I am a geek you can say.. :D , I like doing some thing or other all the time.., right now painting my old showpiece stuff.. '
I said okey good...
Actually here holidays have started for all Swedish students and most of my neighbors have left for their homes..
So i asked him "Aren't you leaving for your home too some time..?? '
He replied 'Naah, I don't visit them, and this place is quiet cheap to stay also.. That's kind of souther europe where people are attached with their family... '
I was still wondering what the crap he is saying.. and suddenly he commented one more thing..
'Its kind of common over here in northern europe, once you grow 19-20 , parents detach you from their nests.. and you just move out after that '
Hmm, so that's the scene... But i was still wondering why other's have gone to their home when he is saying its a common trend out here in sweden...

So when I asked him this question, his answer was quiet shocking to me... Know what he said..:P
Why those people have gone to their home...
"Freeee food..." thats the best part of going home.... Oh man I felt like killing him at that very moment... :P :P
Thank God, I belong to India.. where we do have strong attachment with our family.. our parents... who take good care of us till we become capable of doing something... in their words... 'stand on our own feet' And after that... free food, thats what matters :P
One must also take care of their parents when they grow old, love my family...

I remembered the words from William Blake : "Nothing is absolutely wrong. " Even a stopped clock shows right time twice in a day! Similar hold true here. Neither we nor they are perfect. But we should try to imbibe something good from and try to erase the negative points of our culture. So that at least our next generations do not have to see the negative side of the coin!

Good eye-opener for those who think Western culture is the Best!

I agree with Nidhi. Each culture has its own good and bad :)
